Die Erfindung betrifft ein Belagsystem (2) für einen Fußboden, eine Wand und/oder eine Decke, wobei das Belagsystem- eine Sichtseite (20),- eine der Sichtseite gegenüberliegende Unterseite und- eine Mehrzahl miteinander verbundener Belagelemente (4) aufweist,wobei zwischen wenigstens zwei der Belagelemente wenigstens ein Leitungselement (6) derart angeordnet ist, dass das wenigstens eine Leitungselement zumindest abschnittsweise an der Sichtseite sichtbar ist, wobei das wenigstens eine Leitungselement eingerichtet ist zum Leiten einer physikalischen Größe, eines Materials oder von Signalen, wobei wenigstens ein Leitungselement eine Schnittstelle (10) zu einer Quelle oder einem Verbraucher der physikalischen Größe, des Materials oder der Signale aufweist.
