STOWAGE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
A self-stowage device may comprise: a housing (200) comprising a slot (240), the housing having a blind hole (212) disposed in the first end extending to the second end, the housing including an outer surface (230) extending from the first end to the second end, the slot disposed through the outer surface, the slot extending axially and circumferentially about the outer surface; a spring (310) disposed in the blind hole, the spring having a first spring end (322) and a second spring end (324), the second spring end configured to compress against the second end of the housing; a shaft (320) disposed in the blind hole, the shaft disposed adjacent to the first spring end; and a pin (350) coupled to the shaft, the pin disposed in the slot, the pin and the slot configured to convert a rotary motion of the shaft into a linear motion of the shaft.
