A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A sliding fire door (10) is described, comprising: at least one sliding panel (12) for closing a passageway (P); one upper linear guide (14) fixed to a wall (W) at the passageway (P) and oriented along a direction (X) which is horizontal and parallel with respect to a walking surface (F); sliding means (16) integral with the sliding panel (12) and slidingly engaged with the upper linear guide (14) to allow the sliding panel (12) to translate between opening and closing positions of the passageway (P); a lower linear guide (18) fixed to the walking surface (F) at the passageway (P) and parallel to the upper linear guide (14); guide means (20) fixed below the sliding panel (12) and engageable with the lower linear guide (18). The lower linear guide (18) comprises one or more box-shaped channels (22), which can be buried below the walking surface (F) and comprise an upper wall (24) which is arranged to be coplanar with respect to the walking surface (F) and is provided with an elongated slot (26) oriented along the second horizontal direction (Y). Each guide means (20) consists of an elongated profile, oriented along the second horizontal direction (Y) and having an inverted T shape in cross section, comprising a vertical flat portion (28) arranged to slidably fit into the elongated slot (26), and a horizontal flat portion (30), which is arranged to slide within the box-shaped channel (22) at a predefined distance (D) below the upper wall (24).
