A SUPPORTING DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING A PROFILED BAR IN A WELDING APPARATUS
A supporting device for supporting a profiled bar (2, 3) during a welding operation, comprises a lower supporting element (13) and an upper supporting element (16) movable relative to each other between a clamping position, in which a profiled bar (2, 3) can be locked between the lower supporting element (13) and the upper supporting element (16), and a disengagement position, in which the profiled bar (2, 3) can be disengaged from the lower supporting element (13) and from the upper supporting element (16).At least one supporting element selected from between the upper supporting element (16) and the lower supporting element (13) comprises:- a containment element (24) for containing the softened material of the profiled bar (2, 3) during welding, the containment element (24) having a deflecting protuberance (25) which projects towards a longitudinal axis (Z) of the profiled bar (2, 3) for diverting the softened material towards the inside of the profiled bar (2, 3);- a base component (22), floating along a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis (Z) of the profiled bar (2, 3);- an intermediate component (27) to which the containment element (24) can be fixed, the intermediate component (27) being removably connectable to the base component (22),- adjusting means for adjusting the position of the containment element (24) relative to the intermediate component (27).
