The invention relates to an edge or connection reinforcement for a steel-concrete component, having at least one first and second reinforcing element, each of which has parallel transverse iron elements bent in a U-shaped manner and longitudinal iron elements connecting said transverse iron elements, wherein first and second ends of the longitudinal iron elements freely terminate in protrusions. When the bent sections of the transverse iron elements of a first and an adjacent second reinforcing element are in a parallel arrangement, the longitudinal iron elements of one reinforcing element are positionally offset to the longitudinal iron elements of the respective other reinforcing element.
