The frame profile has a flexible strip (8, 45, 8', 45', 301, 401) in the recess (5, 6, 30, 31), said strip comprising at least one insulating building material layer (402), wherein the width (BB1, BB2) of the strip (8, 45, 8' 45', 301, 401) is greater than the width (B1, B2) of the recess (16, 46, 16', 46') when aligned evenly. The invention also relates to an installation method.
