A boom (15) is attached to a machine main body. A bucket (14) is attached to the boom (15). A boom cylinder (18) is attached to the machine main body and drives the boom (15). A bucket cylinder (19) is attached to the machine main body and drives the bucket (14) with respect to the boom (15). A controller (50) calculates a mass (M2) of a load within the bucket (14) based on boom cylinder force (Fboom) and bucket cylinder force (Fbucket).
