METAMATERIAL GLAZING UNIT WITH ACOUSTIC INSULATION PROPERTIES
The invention relates to an acoustic glazing unit, in particular a vehicle glazing unit or a building glazing unit. The glazing unit comprises:- a laminated glass panel (1) comprising at least two glass sheets (3) between which is inserted at least one interlayer (4) of viscoelastic plastic material;- an array of piezoelectric patches (2, 6) periodically arranged on at least one of the main surfaces of the laminated glass panel (1);- a plurality of loading circuits (5) each comprising at least one negative capacitor and at least one inductor, wherein each piezoelectric patch (2, 6) is connected to a respective loading circuit (5);wherein the negative capacitors of each loading circuit (5) have a negative capacitance Cn in the range of from -0.7xCp to -0.1xCp, wherein Cp is the capacitance of the piezoelectric patch (2, 6) to which the loading circuit (5) is connected.
