Disclosed is a modular metal structure comprising profile elements (2) configured to be assembled according to at least one first configuration in which a transverse side (203) of one profile element (2) is attached to a transverse side (203) of another profile element (2), the profile elements (2) being aligned with each other. At least one profile element (2) has a cross section smaller than a cross section of an adjacent profile element (2) so as to have a non-zero height difference (Δ1) between them. The metal structure comprises at least one part (3) for absorbing loads fastened to a base (202) of the at least one profile element (2) and to the transverse side (203) of the adjacent profile element (2). Also disclosed is a modular metal structure that can be dismantled, the profile elements of which have optimised sections and can be reused.
