A composite panel has a central layer (2). The central layer (2) is provided at its mutually opposite faces (10, 11) with cover sheets (3, 4), wherein the cover sheets (3, 4) form outer faces (12, 13) of the composite panel (1). The central layer (2) is adhesively bonded to the cover sheets (3, 4) face to face. Each cover sheet (3, 4) comprises at least one panel (14) composed of mineral-bound and/or organically bound material. The central layer (2) consists at least in part of wooden boards (5, 5', 5'', 5''') or of at least one laminated veneer wooden panel (15).
