The invention provides a device for moving a movable furniture part. During the opening operation, the movable furniture part drives the ejector to move in the opening direction through the energy accumulator under the action of the energy accumulator. The opening movement of the ejector may be transmitted to the movable furniture part. The energy store may be loaded during a movement of the ejector from the open position in the closing direction. The device has a locking device with a trigger element. In a closing movement, the ejector can be brought from a closed position into an ejector trigger position. The closing movement of the ejector can be transmitted to the trigger element, so that the trigger element can be moved from the rest position into the trigger position. And at the triggering position of the triggering element, the energy storage device is in an unlocking state. The device has a guide rail in which the trigger is present in a guided state. A deceleration element is provided in the guide rail, using friction to slow down movement of the trigger from the closed position into the trigger position.
