A construction assist system (SYS) to assist construction with a shovel (100) includes a controller (50) to simulate the motion of the shovel (100) in a virtual environment set based on the work environment of the shovel (100). The controller (50) may perform the simulation based on the output of a space recognition device that recognizes a space around the shovel (100). The space recognition device may be mounted on the shovel (100) or may be installed outside the shovel (100). Furthermore, the construction assist system (SYS) may include a display device (D1) to display the result of the simulation performed by the controller (50).
