    A method comprises the steps of:- preparing a profiled bar (3) made of a material containing a synthetic polymer, at least one seal (6) being applied on the profiled bar (3);- joining the profiled bar (3) to at least a further profiled bar (3), by welding, to obtain a sealed joint of a door or window frame (2).Before the joining step, there is provided a step of cutting at least a part of the seal (6), the removal step being performed with a dedicated rotary tool (10; 111) specifically arranged to act on the seal (6).
