The invention relates to a metallurgical plant, in particular a rolling mill comprising a plurality of roll stands (6) arranged in a rolling mill train and means for manufacturing a rolled metal product, wherein the plant comprises a mill floor supported by at least one foundation (8), wherein the mill floor is supported, at least in the region of the rolling mill train, exclusively by at least one vertically continuous foundation block (8) without basement. The invention further relates to a foundation for a metallurgical plant.
