The invention relates to a device (1) for recovering heat from sanitary grey water (2), comprising - a support plate (5) configured to receive a flow of grey water (2), - a receiving vessel (8) configured to receive grey water (2) coming from the support plate (5) and to create a direction of flow of the grey water (2) in the vessel (6) counter to the flow of cold water (3) in the heat exchanger (9), - a heat exchanger (9) configured for the circulation of the sanitary cold water (3), the heat exchanger (9) cooperating with the receiving vessel (8) to effect parallel, counter-current exchange of heat between the grey water (2) and the sanitary cold water (3), characterized by - a regulating system (12) configured to allow a flow of grey water (2) out of the receiving vessel (6) when the temperature of grey water (2) is more or less cold, and to limit this flow when said temperature is more or less hot.
