[Problem] A work machine control method, a work machine control program, a work machine control system, and a work machine that can improve the reliability of the movement of the work machine are provided.[Solution] The work machine control method includes actuating a first limiting unit 48, determining whether or not the first limiting unit 48 has an abnormality, and actuating a second limiting unit 49 based at least on a determination result of determining whether or not the first limiting unit 48 has an abnormality. The first limiting unit 48 limits a movement of a drive unit that drives a work machine 3. The second limiting unit 49 limits the movement of the drive unit separately from the first limiting unit 48.
