A coupled shaft assembly for a foundation support system comprising inner and outer couplers (306,302) with mating helical ribs (336) and grooves, and spring element (310) that resiliently interlocks the inner and outer couplers (306,302) in an axial direction, wherein built-in anti-reverse rotation elements in each coupler accommodate a limited degree of relative rotation of the couplers and thereafter preclude further relative rotation that could otherwise negatively impact the spring element (310) and lead to an undesirable disengagement of the inner and outer couplers (306,302).
