HOOD ASSEMBLY FOR A WORK VEHICLE
A hood assembly (12) for a work vehicle (10) includes a hood (22) and a hood pivot joint (24) configured to pivotally couple the hood (22) to a chassis (18) of the work vehicle (10). The hood pivot joint (24) is configured to enable the hood (22) to rotate between an open position and a closed position. The hood assembly (12) also includes a lift mechanism (26) having a linkage assembly (28) pivotally coupled to the hood (22) and configured to pivotally couple to the chassis (18) of the work vehicle (10). In addition, the lift mechanism (26) includes a linear actuator (30) coupled to the linkage assembly (28). The linear actuator (30) is configured to drive the linkage assembly (28) to rotate the hood (22) between the open and closed positions.
