FIRE RESISTANT SEPARATING WALL ASSEMBLY
A fire-resistant separating wall assembly (20) comprises a pair of spaced-apart wall elements comprising a first wall element (22) and a second wall element (23), with a cavity (24) between the first and second wall elements (22, 23). A cavity face (25, 26) of each wall element (22, 23), located within the cavity (24), comprises a layer of a fire-resistant cladding material. A room face (27, 28) of each wall element (22, 23) comprises a layer of a plasterboard material or any other suitable cladding material. The layers (25, 26) of fire-resistant cladding material located within the cavity (24) are provided by cement-based boards such as fibre cement board. Each wall element (22, 23) may be a stud wall. Mineral wool insulation material (10) may be mounted between studs (9) of each stud wall.
