Presented is a steel beam comprising a base plate (1), two web plates (2), a top plate (3), and an end plate (4) at each end of the steel beam. At least one of the ends of the steel beam comprising a console supporting slot (7) extending from said at least one end of the steel beam. The console supporting slot (7) comprises a first slot (8) in the end plate (4) and a second slot (9) in the base plate (1). The first slot (8) having a first open end (10) and a first closed end (11) and the second slot (9) having a second open end (12) and a second closed end (13). The console supporting slot (7) comprises a third slot (14) in a load transfer structure (15) in a space (5) of the steel beam, and the third slot (14) having a third open end (16).
