The invention relates to a fitting for a window or a door in which a cable (56) is provided on the leaf (2) for transmitting signals and/or energy. The cable (56) is disposed in an open fitting groove (60) on the rebate of the leaf (2) and the fitting groove (60) is used to receive the fitting (3, 6) which is fixed in the fitting groove (60). A guiding part (66) is provided on the fitting (3, 6) and comprises at least one bore (67) for receiving a fixing screw (68) of the fitting (3, 6) and which comprises means (75, 76) for guiding the cable (56) adjacent to the bore (67) in order to improve mouting of the cable in the leaf.
