The invention relates to a lifting device (18a) for a wing of a window or a door, in particular of a sliding door. The lifting device (18a) has a running carriage (34a) having at least one running roller (48a, 48b) which, in particular perpendicularly to the longitudinal plane of a preferably plate-shaped base element (62) that is fixedly connectable to the wing, can vary the distance to the base element (62) in order to raise or lower the wing. This can be achieved by means of a driving rod (20a), which can be directly connected to a slide (22a) of a redirection arrangement (72), wherein a roller (36) is arranged on the slide (22a), which is guided in a slotted link (38) of the running carriage (34a). The slide (22a) can be supported on the base element (62) via a plurality of load rollers (60 a-f).
