Sistema de césped artificial (10, 110) que define un área de juego (1), donde el sistema comprende: una capa de césped artificial (20, 120); una capa de distribución de aire (12, 112) debajo de la capa de césped, mediante la cual se puede distribuir aire a lo largo de toda el área de juego, donde la capa de distribución de aire está cerrada en zonas de borde (26) que definen una periferia del área de juego; y un suministro de aire (30) en comunicación fluida con la capa de distribución de aire; caracterizado por el hecho de que el sistema comprende además una capa de regulación de flujo (16, 116) entre la capa de distribución de aire y la capa de césped, donde la capa de regulación de flujo comprende una capa de soporte a la que están fijadas fibras de césped artificial (22, 122) para formar la capa de césped, mediante tejedura o inserción, donde una pluralidad de aberturas (18,118) está dispuesta a través de la capa de soporte para permitir la permeación de aire a través de la capa de césped dentro del área de juego donde las aberturas en la capa de soporte tienen un tamaño de entre 0,5 mm y 7 mm y están separadas entre sí en menos de 50 mm, pero en más de 5 mm.
An artificial turf system defining a playing area comprises an artificial turf layer with an air distribution layer located beneath the turf layer, by which air can be distributed throughout the playing area. The air distribution layer is closed at edge regions to define a periphery of the playing area and an air supply is in fluid communication with the air distribution layer to provide a flow of air. A flow regulating layer is located between the air distribution layer and the turf layer, the flow regulating layer being provided with a plurality of openings arranged to allow permeation of air through the turf layer within the playing area. The proposed system allows air to be distributed uniformly over the whole of the playing area for cooling of the turf layer.
