Un método para proteger un edificio (2) contra inundaciones mediante el uso de una membrana (3), conectada a lo largo de un primer borde lateral (4) a un flotador (5), comprendiendo el método las etapas de disponer la membrana (3) en una configuración empaquetada, en donde la membrana se enrolla alrededor del flotador (5) a una primera distancia 1 (X) del edificio, y fijar la membrana al terreno (6) en una ubicación de inicio a lo largo de un segundo borde lateral (7), caracterizado por permitir que el agua desempaquete la membrana desenrollando la membrana y moviendo el flotador hacia el edificio para disponer así una primera porción (3A) de la membrana con una superficie inferior contra el terreno en un área entre la ubicación de inicio y el edificio, permitiendo que el agua eleve el flotador a una segunda distancia a lo largo de una superficie exterior del edificio mientras se desempaqueta aún más la membrana, para colocar así una segunda porción de la membrana con la superficie inferior contra el edificio, formando la primera porción una porción de retención que es retenida en el terreno por el agua en una superficie superior opuesta.
A method for protecting a building against flooding by use of a membrane connected along a first side edge to a float, and comprises the steps of arranging the membrane in a packed configuration at a first distance from the building, and fixing the membrane to the ground at a start location along a second side edge, allowing water to unpack the membrane and move the float toward the building to arrange a first portion of the membrane with a lower surface against ground in an area between the start location and the building, allowing water to raise the float a second distance along an outer surface of the building while further unpacking the membrane to arrange a second portion of the membrane with the lower surface against the building. The first portion forms a retention portion which is retained on the ground by water on an opposite upper surface.
