Sliding side closing system for truck boxes, with an upper rail (5) oblique to the side wall (1) and an upper slide (6) that guides a door (3) through the upper rail (5). The system has a movable lower rail (7) and a fixed lower rail (8) that can be coupled to one another, and a lower slide (9) to guide the movement of the door (3) along said lower rails (7, 8). The movable lower rail (7) pivots between a position in which it is uncoupled from the fixed lower rail (8) with the door (3) engaged in a recess (2) and aligned with the side wall (1), and a position in which it is coupled to the fixed lower rail (8) with the door (3) disengaged from the recess (2) and misaligned with the side wall (1), allowing the lateral sliding of the lower slide (9) connected to the door (3) in the opening and closing thereof.
