The set i.e. protective assembly, has a sleeve (135) for receiving a rail (140) on the inside of the sleeve and for entering in a lateral opening (255) of an upright with deformation of an elastically deformable tongue (305) of the sleeve. The tongue includes a opening (325) to receive a tooth, where the insertion of the sleeve into the lateral opening of the upright causes the tongue to be deformed until the tooth is located in the tongue opening, and the insertion of the rail inside the sleeve stresses the tongue. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting an assembling element set.
