L'invention consiste en une carrosserie (2) de véhicule automobile, comprenant : une paroi latérale (4) ; une paroi arrière jointive (6) avec la paroi latérale (4) ; un boîtier (8) formant un rail de guidage d'une porte coulissante du véhicule ou une cavité longitudinale apte à recevoir ledit rail, ledit boîtier s'étendant horizontalement sur la face intérieure de la paroi latérale ; la carrosserie comprend, en outre, un couvercle (14) de fermeture de l'extrémité arrière (10) du boîtier, ledit couvercle épousant au moins partiellement le profil de l'extrémité arrière (10) du boîtier et prenant appui sur la face intérieure (16) de la paroi arrière jointive (6). L'invention consiste aussi en un procédé de ferrage d'une telle carrosserie.
The invention relates to a body (2) of a motor vehicle, including: a side wall (4), a rear wall (6) contiguous with the side wall (4), and a housing (8) forming a guide rail for a sliding door of the vehicle or a longitudinal cavity capable of receiving said rail, said housing extending horizontally over the inner surface of the side wall. The body further includes a cover (14) for closing the rear end (10) of the housing, said cover matching at least in part the profile of the rear end (10) of the housing and being supported on the inner surface (16) of the contiguous rear wall (6). The invention also relates to a method for assembling such a body.
