La présente invention concerne une solution aqueuse de poly(alcool furfurylique) contenant - de 40 % à 85 % en poids de poly(alcool furfurylique), - de 15 % à 60 % en poids d'eau, et - moins de 1,5 % en poids d'alcool furfurylique, ladite solution étant caractérisée par le fait qu'elle présente un pH supérieur à 7,0, de préférence compris entre 7,2 et 10,0. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication d'un produit à base de fibres minérales ou organiques liées par un liant organique, utilisant une telle solution aqueuse de poly(alcool furfurylique) sous forme diluée.
The present invention relates to an aqueous poly(furfuryl alcohol) solution containing:from 40% to 85% by weight of poly(furfuryl alcohol),from 15% to 60% by weight of water andless than 1.5% by weight of furfuryl alcohol, said solution being characterized in that it exhibits a pH of greater than 7.0, preferably of between 7.2 and 10.0. The invention also relates to a process for the manufacture of a product based on mineral or organic fibers which are bonded by an organic binder, using such an aqueous poly(furfuryl alcohol) solution in the diluted form.
