La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement anti-verdissement d’un matériau de construction céramique par dépôt d’un revêtement réalisant une dégradation des dépôts organiques lors de l’exposition à la lumière solaire, caractérisé en ce qu’il consiste à déposer, avant la cuisson du matériau de construction et après son façonnage, une couche d’un oxyde d’un semi-conducteur, dont la température de dégradation est supérieure à la température de cuisson dudit matériau de construction.
