The invention relates to a protective cover (100) for an attachment support (1) for an access control barrier (200), the protective cover (100) comprising: - a protective portion (2) configured to be removably attached to the attachment support (1) and to protect a top region of the attachment support (1); - a display portion (3) configured to be arranged above the protective portion (2) when the cover is attached to the attachment support (1), wherein the display portion (3) comprises a display device (8).
