The invention relates to a platform (1) for working at height, comprising: - a front plane comprising a pair of side members (4, 5) and at least one step (6, 7) connecting these side members (4, 5), - a safety guard mounted on the front plane, this safety guard comprising a pair of side barriers, each mounted in an articulated manner on a side member (4, 5), to move between a deployed position, in which each barrier extends substantially perpendicularly to the front plane, and a folded position, - a rear plane mounted in an articulated manner on the front plane, - a rigid bar (29) mounted in an articulated manner on a first side barrier, to move between a substantially horizontal deployed position and a stowed position, the rigid bar (29) forming a rail for the safety guard, and means limiting the travel of the rigid bar (29) between its deployed position and an end position in which it is raised with respect to the deployed position.
