Self-drilling building panel fasteners
A self-drilling building panel fastener (10) for fastening an insulated building panel (12) to a structural member (14) includes a head (16) and a shank. The shank extends from the head (16) to a tip (18). The shank includes, in sequence from the tip (18): a drill part (22), a first threaded part (30), an indicator threaded part (100), an unthreaded part and a third threaded part (50). In use during installation, the fastener (10) is driven into the structural member (14) and penetrates the structural member (14). The indicator threaded part (100) is arranged to provide an indication to a user that the fastener (10) has reached a predetermined depth of penetration in the structural member (14).
