Footwear cleaning apparatus
A container for cleaning footwear 22, comprising an inner surface 16 with a plurality of piles (18 fig. 3), an opening for placing footwear inside the container, and an energy absorbing layer. The piles may comprise a brush surface with perpendicular bristles, or a plurality of cylindrical piles. The inner layer may be polyester microfiber or woven material. The closure may comprise a drawstring arrangement. There may be an outer layer of the container. A method of cleaning footwear by placing footwear within the container and placing the container in a washing machine is disclosed.
