Textile flooring article with primary backing B1 and pile having upper pile surface, the pile being uneven, comprising yarns/threads of different heights. The pile may comprise first and second pile threads of at least two different heights. The article may comprise a secondary backing B2 which may be air-permeable and comprise a non-slip material. The pile may be patterned with the pile threads of different heights forming the pattern. The height of the first pile may be in the range 1.5-4.5mm. The height of the first pile may be in the range 1.75-4.25mm. The height of the first pile may be in the range 2-4mm. The height of the second pile thread may be 4.5-7.5mm. The height of the first pile may be in the range 2-4mm. The height of the second pile thread may be 4.75-6.75mm. The two different pile thread heights may form channels. The pile may comprise a textured loop pile. Also claimed is a method of manufacturing a textile floor covering.
