Formwork carriage for the construction of tunnel vaults
A formwork carriage for the construction of tunnel vaults. The carriage 1 comprises a work platform 2, an internal formwork 3 for the construction of the vault of a tunnel and a support structure 4 resting on the platform that reinforces the internal formwork. Rails 5 attached to the bottom of the platform are arranged to the side and slide along brackets 6 that are secured to the tunnel walls (7, Fig 1) allowing the formwork carriage to be moved along the tunnel shaft. The brackets may contain rollers (8, Fig 4A) and winches (12, Fig 1) that aid in sliding the platform. Preferably, the brackets have a spindle (10, Fig 4A) with a fork (11, Fig 4A) that vertically move vertically to engage with the rails to raise the platform above the rollers or be disengaged with the platform rails. The carriage may be raised onto the brackets using hydraulic cylinders (14, Fig 5) that are housed and retained in a support (15, Fig 5) also attached to the tunnel wall.
