Improved binder blends
A binder blend comprises an organic binder component and a glass component. Preferably, the organic binder is a plant-based binder, which may be obtained from the plant genus Plantago, preferably psyllium. The glass component is preferably crushed glass. One or more aggregates, such as rock, grit, sand and/or glass, may be combined with the binder blend. A water-soluble polymer may also be added to the blend in small quantities (less than 5%, preferably between 1 and 2%, by weight). The binder blend can be used both in homogenous surfaces and as bedding or jointing materials for modular paving.
