A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A fence extender includes a net or mesh 10 suspended from a support 18 such that it may be moved between a stowed and deployed position above a garden boundary partition 12. The net is used to prevent balls from passing over the partition by providing an increase in height. The net may slide along the support or may rise vertically above the partition. The support may comprise a pole extending telescopically from the partition and may include horizontal wires 14, 20. The support may be hinged about a horizontal axis to pivot between stowed and deployed positions. A method of temporarily extending the height of a garden partition is also claimed.
