Monitoring of cementitious material
A method of monitoring cementitious material which is being introduced in a non-solid state into a space i.e. a borehole 10. The method provides a pH sensor element 14, 15 to provide a pH reading for the cementitious material when solid, and provides a reading to establish information related to cementitious material introduced into the borehole. The method may be employed to monitor the introduction of cementitious material, by means of a tubular stinger 13, into the space between a pile (11 figure 1) and a drilled borehole. Two pH senor elements may be secured to the stinger at spaced apart positions and employed for controlling movement of the stinger. A later embodiment relates to a monitoring apparatus for monitoring the cementatious material.
