A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A device (100, Fig 6) holds a builders line for use when held adjacent a brick wall, by an upright (102, Fig 6). The device comprises a substantially planar body 10 with a front surface 12 and a rear surface 14. The body 10 has a central portion 24 and left hand and right hand end portions 26, 28. The body further comprises a left and a right clip portions 30, 32 which extend laterally from the central portion. The body 10 has an upper edge 16 that is castellated 40 and lower edge 18 that has serrations 60 to hold the builder's line. The left and right clip portions comprise laterally orientated projections spaced apart from the surface of the body 10. Preferably the projections are tapered wherein one of the projections has an upper edge 50 of one projection being narrower than the lower edge 52, whilst the other projection has the lower edge 54 of the projection being narrower than the upper edge 56.
