A scaffolding ladder lock that is used to prevent unauthorised access and theft. The ladder lock consists of a body element that measures 1800mm x 350 mm x 4mm, a hook portion that measures 250mm x 100mm which is used to attach the ladder lock onto a ladder rung. The ladder lock also has a portion near the base to facilitate locking. The ladder lock may preferably be secured with a chain and padlock and it may also constitute a means for displaying safety information.
