Fibre reinforced polymer composite structures
A composite structure and associated method of manufacture wherein a filler 2 preferably comprises of a mixture of tyre crumb, fibre reinforced polymer cuttings, lime, fly ash and cullet are bound together by a resin polymer matrix and encased in one or more shells 1 of fibre reinforced polymer infused with a polymer matrix. The composite structure may be manufactured in sections that are capable of being joined together. The external shell of the composite structure may have an anti-slip surface and may contain UV light inhibitors. The composite may be used to manufacture telegraph poles, fence posts etc.
