Improvements in and relating to building cladding panel support systems
A building cladding panel support system comprising a bracket 102 for fixing the support system to a building, an embedding rod 110 having two end sections 110a, 110b being embeddable in a cladding panel and a middle section 110m. Also provided is a connector 112 that is pivotally connected to the middle section of the embedding rod, and a link 107 that is releasably connectable to the bracket and to the connector. The connector may be recessed into a face of the cladding panel. The bracket may be a metal plate with a thickness from 5 to 25 mm and shaped for attachment to a vertical or horizontal surface of a building. The link may be a threaded metal bar which may be screwed into a threaded opening (302, Fig. 14) in the connector and retained in the bracket by a nut. The connector may comprise a longitudinal opening (302, Fig. 14) for connection to the link and a transverse through hole (304, Fig. 14) for pivotal connection to the embedding rod. Also claimed is a building cladding panel comprising the embedding rod and the connector.
