Plumbing trap system
A trap for use in a plumbing fixture comprises at least one conduit 120 having a permeable and hydrophobic portion 120; and an absorbent pad (202, Fig. 2), e.g. a self-adhesive sheath, arranged in communication with the permeable and hydrophobic portion. The hydrophobic material may comprise polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Also claimed is a filter unit (900, Fig. 9) for use in a plumbing fixture, the unit comprising a grill body having a blocking region, a grill aperture, and a pivot member; the grill aperture and blocking member arranged to pivotally couple to the pivot member, the latter arranged to couple to a pipe.
