Mooring anchor
A method of installing a gravity base foundation for a floating structure is provided. The foundation comprises a foundation body 1, a mooring cable 6 coupled to the foundation body, a housing 3 within the foundation body and a drill 2 and an anchor 8 within the housing. The method comprises lowering the foundation onto the seabed, leveling the foundation . With the drill, drilling into the seabed is carried out to form a socket 24 in rock in the seabed. The drill is removed from the socket and the anchor is fitted in the socket. The mooring cable is prepared for connection to a floating structure 20(figure 2). An apparatus for performing the above method is also claimed.
