Proposed method of reducing the ferocity of storms, hurricanes, typhoons etc. ; by using elementary physics
A method of reducing the ferocity of storms, such as typhoons and hurricanes and the like, by reducing the surface temperature of an ocean. The surface temperature of an ocean is cooled by mixing cool water from the depths of the ocean with the hot surface water. Preferably a plurality of ships are deployed, where each ship has at least one inlet pipe that extends to the cooler water, at least one outlet pipe that is positioned below the water line, and a plurality of pumps that pump the cooler water to the surface to reduce the critical boiling point of the ocean water that is considered to feed the storms. Preferably the cooler water is taken at a depth of 10 metres, and the mixing of the cooler and warmer water is carried out below the ocean surface. Each pump may be fitted with a coarse strainer, and the inlet pipe is telescopic.
