A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The cill protection device 10, particularly for use during the construction of a building, comprises a sheet of a rigid polymeric material, preferably PVC, which has a substantially rectangular U shape. The device comprises a base 12 of equal length to the width of the cill, a first arm 14 lying at a right angle to the base 12 and a second arm 16 forming an angle with the base 12 of between 85 and 89 degrees, preferably 87 degrees. The first arm 14 is preferably substantially longer than the second arm 16 and may comprise a lip 18 at its lower end that is co-operable with the underside of the cill. The sheet of polymeric material is preferably 1.5 2.0 millimetre thick.
