A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
An adjustable fence comprising two posts, each having a post body 11 with a mounting slot 12 extending along the post, a slat assembly 20 comprising detachable slats 21 slidably and detachably mounted in the mounting slots, and two buffering elements 40 disposed in the mounting slot between the post body and the slat assembly. The slat assembly may have top and bottom slidably mounted brackets 23,22, the slats and the bottom bracket having top position elements 211 for engaging with the bottom position element (212, Fig. 9) of an adjacent slat or top bracket. The buffering element 40 may be a resilient foam material, embedded in opposite terminals 223 of the bottom bracket to absorb movement through thermal expansion or contraction of the posts or slat assembly. Each post may have an expanding slot 13 having a side strip cover 14, the slots having mounting slits or grooves (1111, 1121 Fig. 5) for mounting tabs 142. There may be limits 30 with threaded fasteners 34, 35 fitted into the top of the slots. The height may be adjusted depending on number of slats 21 used or the direction can be adjusted depending on slots 13,14 used.
