Adjustable width roller blind assembly
An adjustable width roller blind assembly comprises a roller 102 and a generally rectangular screen formed from a flexible sheet material having an upper marginal edge securable to the roller and a free lower marginal edge. The roller comprises substantially cylindrical and axially aligned first 120 and second 130 roller sections, the first roller section incorporating a plurality of first fingers 122 extending axially towards the second roller section, the second section incorporating a plurality of second fingers 132 extending axially towards the first roller section. The second fingers are circumferentially offset from the first fingers such that each first finger of the first roller section is receivable between a respective pair of second fingers of said second roller section so that the overall length of the roller is adjustable by varying the extent to which the first and second fingers, and thus the first and second roller sections, overlap one another. The first and second roller sections have a substantially equal and constant outer diameter and as a result the roller has a substantially uniform outer diameter over its length.
