A post driver assembly
The post driver assembly comprising a hammer 3, for driving fence posts into the ground, mounted on a mast 2, the mast pivotably mounted on a telescopic boom 4, the boom mounted on a rotatable swivel mount for rotating the boom about a vertical axis. The swivel mount may comprise a rack and pinion mechanism capable of rotating through 220 degrees. The mast may be pivotable about two separate axis relative to the boom. Hydraulic rams may be used to operate the rack to rotate the boom, and to tilt and rotate the mast. There may be a counter weight 22 mounted on the boom opposite the mast. A control station with control levers for operating the assembly may be mounted on the boom. Also claimed is a vehicle incorporating the assembly. The assembly may be releasably secured to the vehicle. The vehicle may have tracks.
