A carriage 24 for a sliding door 10 is mountable to the door and includes two rollers 20, 22. In use, the rollers engage with respective, opposed guide surfaces 28a, 28b of a track 12 so that the carriage is movable along and guided by the track. One roller 22 is movable with respect to the other 20 along a direction across the track, and is biased toward the guide surface in order to take up clearance between the rollers and the guide surfaces. This is for smoother motion and noise reduction. The movable roller 22 may be carried on a pivotable arm 44 and be biased by a pre-stressed torsion spring 48 with windings 50 co-axial with the rotation axis of the arm. Also claimed is a sliding door 10 including the same two rollers. The door may also include a support roller (16, fig. 1) to run in a support track (14, fig. 1) to hold the doors weight.
